Sandy focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, toxic tort litigation and products liability litigation. Prior to joining Cetrulo, Sandy served as a Trial Attorney for a multi-national insurer’s staff counsel office where she successfully obtained defense verdicts in jury trials across the Commonwealth on behalf of her clients. In addition, Sandy tried numerous small claims trials, conducted dozens of expert and lay witness depositions, and participated in several mediations and arbitrations. Sandy also worked to negotiate favorable settlements for many of her clients, allowing them to avoid trial.
Immediately after law school, Sandy served as an Americorp Attorney with the non-profit Health Law Advocates, where she had the opportunity to represent clients in both public and private health care coverage denials, including appearing before the Medicaid Board of Hearings to challenge appeal denials of healthcare coverage. During her last year of law school, Sandy served as a Student Attorney representing clients in the probate and family courts, assisting them with obtaining guardianship appointments and arguing denials of Social Security Disability Benefits and healthcare coverage denials by insurers. In addition, Sandy worked on personal injury matters as a law clerk for a personal injury firm in Massachusetts, focusing on traumatic brain injuries.
